Who to Talk to and What to Say

The Purpose of Networking  is to ensure that you will always have leads [people to whom you will introduce Arbonne’s products and income opportunity] New leads are the life-blood of our business. Commit to getting 2 leads a day.

Learning how to book from every presentation/workshop or “one on one” will ensure that you are always making new contacts.  It's not just who you know, it is who everyone else knows.  If there are 5 people at a group presentation, imagine that they each represent 700 people in their life. (Those are 700 people that you don’t know.) Here are some scripts to help you:

Networking is a state of mind! Only through practice does it become second nature and effortless.

Here are some suggestions for networking! Discuss these networking options with your up-line. There are many options and you will find the right “fit” to help your business grow.

    1. Networking, Leads Groups or Chamber of Commerce

       BNI
       Le Tip
       Toast Masters
       Google other networking clubs and organizations in your area

    2. Charities - Often charities have functions or gatherings where they need items for goodie bags or silent auctions. Offer gift certificates, gift baskets or both.
    Getting involved yourself is a great way to network!

    3. Trade Shows/Fairs – It’s best to have a basket to raffle or a survey to get names [leads]. Do not give away samples without a phone number to follow-up. If you choose to sell product, be prepared to invest in some inventory. [See the Trade Show Guidelines below].

    Trade fairs are also a great place to have a product display and invite people to your table or booth to experience the products.  You may also want to offer to do a skin analysis for them.  This is a great way to engage them in talking to you and to find out how the Arbonne products may help them with their skin challenges.  [see the skin analysis form below].

    4. Marketing Arbonne Baby Care Products:

      Basket to raffle in a baby/children’s retail store [use lead slip, see below]
      Lamaze instructors
      La Leche groups
      Moms groups

    5. Medical Community – The best way to “cold call” in the medical community is to develop a relationship with the office manager, receptionist or head nurse.

      Dermatologists and Pediatricians - offer them samples to try and share our ingredient policy.  They will be interested in all the skin care lines as well as our baby care.

      Plastic Surgeons - offer a full size Skin Conditioning Oil and rejuvenating cream for new scars.

      Gynecologists - lead with baby care, Prolief & Phyto Prolief.
       
      Chiropractors - Bio Nutria and Sea Source Detox Spa, Nutrition and Skin Care.

      6. Get involved with groups that interest you
      Women’s Groups, Churches, Temples and local women centers, [offer to speak/give gift certificates, see below]. 

      7. Gyms, Fitness Centers - offer to do free product presentations
      Set up table and offer samples of Nutrition, Weight Loss and Sea Source Detox Spa.  Offer gift certificates/flyers for new member packets.  Personal Trainers - ask for their professional opinion.  (See below for Gift Certificate Document)

      8. Other related professions

        Massage Therapists - usually looking for additional income opportunity
        Aroma Therapists - love Arbonne’s aromatherapy and Sea Source products 

      9. Hair Salons, Tanning Salons/Nail Salons -  fishbowl for free 3-day trial system. [Use the lead slip in this section to get names and phone numbers]

      10. Bridal Industry and Photographers - Gift Certificates to Bridal Shops and Photographers, etc. Certificates can say: Experience the Arbonne Difference with a 3 Day Trial Pack of Swiss skin care products, Complementary Makeover.
      Team up with a salon or make-up artist and promote together - Skin Care and Arbonne Cosmetics.  [See below for Gift Certificate Document]

      11. Make-up Artists - Ask for professional opinion. Team up to do Glamour Nights with Arbonne Cosmetics - Smokey Eye Look, Katherine Hepburn Look etc.

      12. Nurses Day [usually in May] offer gift certificates to local hospitals, Doctor's offices and clinics for a “facial to go" - 3 day trial pack of the RE9 Advanced ".  [See below for Gift Certificate Document]

      13. Mother’s Day - hand out gift certificates at local restaurants or hotels. Provide a gift basket with a raffle to obtain names. [Use the lead slip to get names and phone numbers, see below]  Promote Mother/Daughter Facials & Make-over's.  Team up with make-up artist, massage therapist, etc. and make a Mother's Day event.  Go to businesses that are predominately male [fire stations, police department, car repairs, etc.] - take gift baskets a few days before mother’s day to sell on the spot.       14. Gift Certificates, Gift Certificates, Gift Certificates!!!! Offer to local businesses.  Be creative - these can be used in all situations! [See below for Gift Certificate Document]

      15. Referrals - ALWAYS ASK!
      "Since Arbonne doesn’t do any advertising, we rely on word of mouth for our advertising and really appreciate referrals.  If you give me the names and numbers of 5 people you feel would be interested in my product or business opportunity, I have a special gift for you!"

      16. Strangers have skin too!  If they are within 3 feet of you....find a way to strike up a conversation and talk to them!

      SMILE!  Compliment their hairstyle, clothing, shoes, children, etc - BE SINCERE!  Here is some verbiage that will help you:

       Your skin, is so beautiful,  I notice that “In my business…" 

       "As a matter of fact….." My company doesn’t advertise….
            "As a matter of fact …” Here’s my card…

                  “By the way …”  I’d love to give you my business card
                        “By the way…”  would you be interested in sampling my product?

      "I notice you have beautiful skin, may I ask you what products
       you use?"
        [listen - let them answer] "I'm always curious what people use because I market Swiss formulated herbal/botanical skin care products that people are going crazy for”

      "I'm working on expanding my business in this area, do you know anyone who…
       …is a professional,  currently not getting paid what they are worth and would like to have their own business?

      …is a self-motivated professional with a desire to own their own business?

      …has a great personality and would like to earn an extra couple hundred
      dollars a month through their own home based business?

      …has leadership qualities and an entrepreneurial spirit?

      …is ambitious and self motivated that can handle a large cash flow?

      …enjoys helping people and would like to be their own boss?

      …is a successful professional who is interested in an unlimited income opportunity?"
