Arbonne's Official Response to Specific Ingredient Questions:
TALC
Question:
Why does Arbonne use Talc? Is it a carcinogenic ingredient?

What It Is
Talc is a mineral-based absorbent powder.

Why It’s Included
Talc is very beneficial in Arbonne’s About Face powder applications because it has excellent absorbing properties.

The Facts
Arbonne uses “cosmetic grade” asbestos-free talc, the highest and purest grade available that is also regulated and must be used in all cosmetic formulations. This grade of Talc is completely free of any free forming asbestos.

Previously, concern surrounded talc because it was found to have naturally occurring traces of asbestos. Asbestos is a known carcinogen and therefore it was listed as a possible carcinogen.

Talc, for cosmetic use, has been removed from the list after compliance with regulation meeting guidelines for “cosmetic grade” asbestos free.  With this refinement and regulation, the risk associated with talc has long passed.
